Welcome

I am an Indonesian-born photographer based in Melbourne, Australia, and I have been working professionally for fifteen years now. My portfolio has been developed out of commissions for different clients – corporate, NGOs and individuals – and from pursuing my own interests in portraiture, landscape, culture and macros/details.

My professional work has covered a wide range of clients and themes. In Australia, I specialise in event photography, portraiture and corporate website material. Commissions for development agencies have taken me to a wide range of Asian countries (Bhutan, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Timor-Leste, Sri Lanka and India, as well as many parts of my native Indonesia), Africa (Ethiopia and Tanzania) and across the Pacific (Papua New Guinea, the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Fiji). Wherever I go, I try to capture the life and beauty of people in their own natural environments, whether work, home or play. Even ‘ordinary’ workplace settings can yield excellent images that tell a strong story. My formal training was in botany, and I am also always eager to seize unusual and unexpected images of the natural world.

I’m proud to say that my work has been used in print publications and on websites around the world, as well as winning several awards and prizes. I am always open to new commissions and challenges, and am happy to hear from anyone who wants to talk about my past work or possible future assignments.
